Understanding Rubber Mat Variations: Due to the natural elasticity of rubber and standard industrial manufacturing tolerances, we cannot guarantee the exact millimetric sizing of every mat. Minor variations in length or width are normal and do not affect performance.
EPDM Surface Finish Differences: Some mats may appear slightly glossy or matte under direct sunlight due to the material’s natural curing process. This difference is only visible under specific lighting angles and reflections, and will naturally blend and uniform over time with regular foot traffic and gym cleaning.
Recommended Installation Steps (Achieving a Seamless Fit):
- Use a Brick Pattern Layout: Instead of a standard square grid, stagger your mats (shifting each row by 50cm). This reduces visible joint lines, minimizes misalignment, and creates a professional seamless finish.
- Match Size Differences: Rotate mats 90° or 180° to align similar edges. Place uneven hand-cut edges toward the perimeter walls where they can be hidden or trimmed by a utility knife.
- Compression Fit: Start in one fixed corner and push the mats tightly together. Use a heavy rubber mallet along the seams to compress the high-density rubber and close small gaps.
- Secure the Mats: Apply high-tack, rubber-safe double-sided tape underneath the seams and edges to prevent mats from shifting over time.
