Welcome to another FITEK Gym Fitout feature! This week, we are spotlighting a stunning home garage gym upgrade from sunny Queensland that perfectly balances commercial-grade performance with space-saving intelligence.

A dedicated fitness enthusiast reached out to us wanting a premium, commercial-grade solution for their daily training, but their available garage footprint was strictly limited. The goal was simple: bring an elite gym experience into their own home without cluttering the entire space. After finalizing the perfect layout, we shipped the entire package directly to their door for a seamless self-installation—proving just how accessible it is to build a world-class training zone at home.

The resulting DIY fitout is centered around two of our most robust pieces of equipment, featuring one key modular customization.

Phase 1: Small Footprint, Uncompromised Capability

The core of this ultimate home installation is the FITEK Compact Rack CR1100b. This rack was chosen specifically for its space-saving 1.2m depth, making it the perfect anchor for a garage bay without sacrificing the ultra-stable 75mm x 75mm heavy-duty steel uprights found in our full-sized commercial rigs.

As showcased in our primary hero angle and the straight-on view below, the owner cleverly utilized a blacked-out back wall to make the colorful FITEK bumper plates pop. The system provides a complete functional training station that leaves the rest of the garage completely accessible.

Phase 2: Solving the Space Puzzle with Smart Storage

The key to a truly successful home gym design is minimizing ground clutter. Through our design consultation, we added a custom Barbell Holder Attachment directly to the side of the rack (visible in the hero image) to vertically secure three premium bars.

But the space optimization didn’t stop at the rack. As you can see in the dedicated storage zone below, the owner utilized a wall pegboard for cable attachments and a compact hex dumbbell rack. Most importantly, notice how the FITEK Elite Adjustable Bench 3.0 can be easily wheeled out of the rack and stored completely vertical against the wall. This upright storage capability is a game-changer for reclaiming floor space when performing standing functional movements.

Phase 3: Commercial-Grade Engineering at Home

What truly elevates this compact package is the internal hardware mechanics. The CR1100b features a dual integrated weight stack system (100kg per side), precision-calibrated to deliver smooth, friction-free resistance during heavy lat pulldowns, low rows, and unilateral cable crossovers. Equipped with high-tensile aircraft-grade cables and premium aluminum pulleys, the owner experiences zero lag or stickiness at peak contraction, rivaling any high-end commercial gym.
