It usually starts with a simple inquiry, but this time, it was a highly specific vision. A customer reached out looking to transform his 5.5-meter-long garage into a powerhouse home gym, but standard off-the-shelf equipment simply wouldn’t cut it.
Here is the challenge he presented to us:
“I am looking at your power rack with a single cable pulley option on one side and a trawler arm on the other to hang a heavy bag for my home gym… I am about 6 foot in height with longer arms than usual, so I need the pull-up bar at least 2.4M high so I don’t touch the ground.”
“I also plan to fix a 6-foot, 55kg bag to the attachment arm at 2.5M high—is that going to be ok and take the weight? The height of my ceiling is a gable style roof, 2.4m at the lowest and 2.7m at the highest.”
“As this is a big decision (financially also) for me, I want to get it right!”

We hit the drawing board. Utilizing our modular rack components, we engineered a bespoke 4-meter linear system designed to run perfectly along his right-hand wall, accommodating the slope of his gable roof.

Our design approach focused on three critical areas:
- The 55kg Heavy Bag Reinforcement: Hanging a 55kg bag at 2.5m requires serious structural integrity. We added extra cross-sections to the frame and ensured the entire rig would be bolted directly to the concrete slab, eliminating any dangerous sway or wobbling.
- Commercial Dual-Ratio Cable Integration: To satisfy his need for heavy seated rows and lat pulldowns, we integrated our commercial cable pulley featuring an intelligent Dual Ratio Output. He can utilize the direct 1:1 ratio for maximum, uncompromising resistance on heavy back movements, or switch to the 2:1 ratio on the adjustable pulley for a buttery-smooth, extended cable travel. Combined with the Gym Pin MagPulley, this creates an immensely versatile station.
- Tall-Lifter Ergonomics: We extended the uprights and installed our Rotating Handle Chin-Up Bar perfectly at 2.4m. This allowed him to perform neutral-grip pull-ups at full extension without his feet scraping the floor.

Before a single bolt was tightened, we provided the customer with full 3D CAD renders to ensure every measurement aligned perfectly with his garage dimensions.
